Terms of Service & Marketplace Rules
These terms cover the rules for using Cycle Heap and for buying and selling motorcycle parts or related items here. Cycle Heap is a free listing platform that connects independent buyers and sellers.
Effective date: October 20, 2026
Who we are and what this covers
Cycle Heap is independently operated in Oregon, United States. Website: beneaththeheap.com. Questions about these terms: beneaththeheap.support@gmail.com.
By using Cycle Heap you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the marketplace. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, where Cycle Heap is operated.
What Cycle Heap is, and what it is not
Cycle Heap is a free listing board. Sellers post motorcycle parts and related items, and interested buyers contact them directly. We are not a party to any deal, we do not inspect or hold any item, we do not take payment, and we do not ship anything.
We do not guarantee any seller's honesty, identity, or ownership of an item, and we do not guarantee that a transaction will happen or turn out well.
Cycle Heap does not offer buyer protection, refunds, transaction guarantees, escrow, or dispute resolution services. We cannot recover money or items for you, and we do not get involved in resolving disagreements between members.
Cycle Heap expects buyers and sellers to arrange payment, shipping, or pickup directly with each other. Any deal, price, payment method, and handover are arranged directly between the buyer and the seller, at their own risk. Nothing on this page should be read as promising protection or a guaranteed outcome in a transaction.
What you may list and what stays out
Cycle Heap is for motorcycle parts, accessories, gear, and closely related items. Listings should be:
- Items you own or are genuinely authorized to sell.
- Items that are legal to sell in the seller's and the buyer's location.
- Described accurately, including wear, damage, missing pieces, and whether the item is new or used. Photos should show the actual item being sold.
Seller responsibilities
Sellers are responsible for what they post. That includes:
- Accurate titles, descriptions, photos, prices, and condition.
- Accurately stating ownership, including that the item is yours to sell and is not stolen, counterfeit, or subject to someone else's claim.
- Compatibility and fitment information, so a buyer can tell whether a part fits their motorcycle. If you do not know whether a part fits a particular model or year, say so rather than leaving it to guesswork.
- Disclosing anything that affects the safety, fitment, or function of the part.
- Responding to buyers in good faith and honoring the deal you agree to.
- Shipping or making the item available for pickup as described in your listing.
- Setting your own prices and taxes, and complying with any reporting obligations that apply to you.
- Keeping your account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Prohibited listings
Listings like these are not allowed and may be removed without notice:
- Fraudulent listings, including items that do not exist or that you do not intend to sell.
- Stolen parts or anything you do not have the right to sell.
- Counterfeit, cloned, or misrepresented parts, including brand name items passed off as genuine.
- Items with altered, obscured, or removed identification numbers.
- Safety critical parts with known defects that are hidden or downplayed.
- Items that are illegal to sell, including weapons, drugs, and regulated goods.
- Live animals, or any item that is not a motorcycle part, gear, or closely related item.
- Recalled items presented as safe and ready to use.
- Duplicate listings posted to flood the marketplace, and listings that are bait for a scam.
This list is guidance and is not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether something belongs here, ask before posting: beneaththeheap.support@gmail.com.
Fraud, scams, and impersonation
Fraud is not tolerated. This includes:
- Fake listings, and requests for payment for goods that do not exist.
- Fake shipping, escrow, or buyer protection claims by anyone other than a legitimate provider.
- Phishing and deceptive redirection. Links or messages that pretend to be Cycle Heap, a payment provider, a shipping or escrow service, or another member, or that try to send members somewhere other than where they appear to lead.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another member, a business, a motorcycle shop, a brand, or a Cycle Heap administrator is prohibited, whether in a profile, a listing, or a message.
- Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, and repeated unwanted contact.
Be careful. Never send money to someone you do not trust, and be alert to unusual payment requests. Because Cycle Heap does not handle payment or delivery, we cannot recover money or items for you.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
Cycle Heap prohibits abusive and objectionable content and behaviour. This applies to listings, profiles, and messages alike.
This includes, without exception:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, and threats of any kind.
- Hate speech, slurs, and attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Sexual content, nudity, and sexual solicitation.
- Graphic violence or content posted to shock or degrade someone.
- Spam, scams, malware, and deceptive links.
- Sharing someone else's private information without their permission.
- Content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Administrators do not remove individual private messages, so the way to handle abuse in a conversation is to report it and block the member, which stops contact in both directions. Prohibited listings are removed by administrators, and serious or repeated abuse may result in account-level enforcement.
Reporting and blocking
Every member has tools to protect themselves, and they work the same way throughout the app:
- Report: listings, seller profiles, and individual messages each have a report action. Choose a reason and add details if you want. Reports go to administrators privately.
- Block: blocking a member hides their listings from you and stops messaging between you in both directions. You can unblock someone at any time from your profile page.
Reporting is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement where a matter is criminal. If something is urgent or dangerous, contact the authorities first.
Moderation and enforcement
Administrators review reports and can remove a listing that breaks these rules, add internal notes to a report, and mark a report as reviewed or resolved. Removing a listing hides it from the marketplace, and Cycle Heap may also remove a listing that breaks these rules without a report. Terminating an account is handled separately and is reserved for serious or repeated cases.
We do not review every listing before it goes live, and we cannot promise to catch everything. Enforcement is at our discretion, and we are not required to explain every decision.
What the verified badge means
Identity verification is optional and one time. A verified badge means the member submitted a photo for an automated photo check, and that check passed. It shows only that this step was completed.
A verified badge is not proof of who someone is. It is not an endorsement of that member, it is not a background check, and it does not guarantee that member's identity, honesty, the accuracy of their listings, the safety of a part, or the outcome of a transaction.
Treat the badge as one small signal, not as assurance that a deal is safe. You should still judge a listing and a seller for yourself.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, text, and other content you post. By posting it, you give Cycle Heap permission to display and distribute that content within the marketplace, including to people who are not signed in, so that listings and profiles can be shown.
Only post content you have the right to share, and do not post other people's photos or work without permission.
Account termination
We may terminate your account if you break these terms, post prohibited or objectionable content, attempt fraud or impersonation, abuse other members, or use the marketplace in a way that puts others at risk. Where a single listing is the problem we will normally remove that listing, and termination is reserved for serious or repeated cases.
You may delete your own account at any time from your profile page. What deletion does, and its current limitations, is described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Cycle Heap is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the marketplace will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of misleading listings.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cycle Heap is not liable for losses arising from dealings between members, from items bought or sold, from payments made directly between members, or from content posted by members.
Changes to these terms
When these terms are published, the effective date will be the date they are posted on the website. We may update them, and the revised version will be posted on the website with an updated effective date. Where a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate, for example through a notice in the app or by email.
